TAMALE PIE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 (1.25 oz.) pkg. chili seasoning
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (14 oz.) can kidney beans
1 (8 1/2 oz.) box corn muffin mix
1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese

Brown ground beef. Drain fat. Stir in seasoning, tomato sauce and beans. Pour into 2 quart casserole. Prepare muffin batter as directed. Spread batter over chili mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until center is firm. Top with cheese. Bake 5 minutes or until cheese melts. Makes 6 servings.
