SOUTH OF THE BORDER CORNBREAD 
2 sm. jalapenos, finely diced
1/2 sm. can Ortega mild diced chilis
1 (17 oz.) can creamed corn
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
2 eggs
1/3 c. vegetable oil
3/4 c. buttermilk
3/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
2 c. yellow cornmeal

In mixer, mix well the jalapenos, Ortega chilis and creamed corn. Beat in baking soda, salt and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Whisk in remaining ingredients. Pour into greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
