2 c. sifted self-rising flour 3 tbsp. shortening 2/3 c. (about) milk Place the flour in a bowl and cut in shortening until mixture is consistency of cornmeal. Add enough milk to make a soft dough and mix well. Turn out on a lightly floured board and knead lightly for 30 seconds. Roll out 1/2 inch thick. Cut with a 2 inch biscuit cutter and place on baking sheet. Bake in 450 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes. |
