MOM'S GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
1/2 lb. bacon
1/2 c. bacon drippings
3 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1 1/2 c. water
8 green onion tops
8 lg. potatoes, cooked

Boil potatoes until tender, cool, cut into bite-size pieces. Cut bacon into small pieces, fry, drain, save grease. Add sugar to grease until dissolved. Add flour slowly, being sure there are no lumps forming. Stir constantly. Add remaining ingredients. Then toss with potatoes. Serve cold or hot. Serves 6 to 8.
