APPLE TORTE CAKE 
1 apple, chopped
1 egg
3/4 c. sugar
5 tbsp. flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans

Beat egg and sugar until light and creamy. Add dry ingredients. Fold in apple, nuts and vanilla. Bake in greased 8 inch square pan or pie plate at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream. Do not double recipe; cannot be done if needed to make 2 pies. Easy quick apple torte (when unexpected company arrives).
