DANIEL'S CHOCOLATE KISS COOKIES 
1/2 lb. butter
6 tbsp. confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract or 1/4 tsp. almond extract
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. finely chopped walnuts or almonds
1 (5 3/4 oz.) pkg. chocolate kisses

In a large mixing bowl, use wooden spoon to cream together butter and sugar. Add extract, flour, salt, and combine well. Mix in nuts. Refrigerate at least 1 hour.

Form mixture into 48 (1 inch) balls. Shape dough around chocolate kiss. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. While warm, roll in confectioners' sugar. Cool.
