SPICED PECANS 
3 c. pecan halves
1 egg white
2 tbsp. water
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. each: ground cloves, cinnamon, allspice and salt

Mix all ingredients, except pecans, and let stand for 15 minutes to dissolve sugar. Add pecan halves and fold through mixture. When well coated, remove with slotted spoon and place in a single layer on a lightly greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 225°F for 1 hour. Remove from oven and cool on cookie sheet. Store in a tightly covered tin.
