Roll a biscuit on a floured surface into a circle. Put pie filling on half, leaving a 1/2 inch edge. Dip your finger in water and moisten edge. Fold the blank half over and crimp the edge with a fork dipped in flour. Fry in 1/4 to 1/2 inch oil or melted shortening in an electric skillet at 350 degrees. Watch carefully; they brown in 15 to 25 seconds per side. Basic pie crust can be used instead of biscuits, making them any size you want, and fresh or dried fruit can be cooked and sweetened for use instead of canned filling.
