PUNCH BOWL CAKE 
1 box Duncan Hines cake mix
2 lg. vanilla instant pudding
2 (8 oz.) crushed pineapple
4 or 5 sliced bananas
1 jar maraschino cherries
2 cherry pie filling
12 oz. Cool Whip
1 c. pecans

Bake cake mix in 9 x 13 inch pan as directed. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool. Crumble 1/2 cake into small pieces and place in bottom of punch bowl. Mix vanilla pudding as directed on box, using only 5 cups of milk. Pour 1/2 pudding over cake in punch bowl. Add 1 can cherry pie filling. Smooth out filling. Add 1 can drained pineapple and then a layer of sliced bananas. Add 1/2 Cool Whip and 1/2 of pecans. Repeat for the second half of cake. Garnish with cherries and pecans.
