MY MOTHER'S EGG CUSTARD 
4 eggs
2 1/2 c. milk
3/4 c. sugar
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. cornstarch
Flavor as desired

(1 tsp. vanilla and 1 tsp. lemon OR 1 tsp. almond flavoring and 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring.)

Sift sugar, salt, and cornstarch together. Beat 3 of the eggs, add dry ingredients, continue beating. Add milk. Beat the fourth egg separately and add to mixture. Pour into unbaked 9x10 inch deep dish pie shell. It too full bake some in custard dish. Sprinkle top with nutmeg. Bake at 400 degrees for about 25 minutes.
