CORNBREAD DRESSING | |
1 box corn muffin mix (Jiffy) 8 slices bread, toasted 6 hard boiled eggs 1 c. chopped onions (sauteed until tender) 2 1/2 or 3 cans chicken broth (15 oz. or similar) 1 box Stove Top stuffing Mix cornbread and toasted bread, add chopped eggs, onion, a bit of salt and 1/2 cup butter if a richer dressing is desired. Add stuffing mix. Mix dry ingredients, then pour at least 2 cans of broth over mixture, add enough of the 3rd can to make the mixture very moist but not "slushy". Mix well. Bake for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees with lid on, then 10 or 15 minutes uncovered. NOTE: Finished product should be very moist and not dry at all. |
