SNOWY GLAZED APPLE SQUARES 
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
2 eggs, separated
Milk
1 1/2 c. crushed corn flakes
8 med. tart apples (5 c. pared and sliced)
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

GLAZE:

1 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
3 tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Combine flour and salt. Cut in shortening. Beat egg yolks with enough milk to measure 2/3 cup. Add to flour and toss. Divide dough in half and roll out to fit 9x15 inch jelly roll pan. Sprinkle with corn flakes. Spread apples over flakes.

Combine sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over apples. Roll out remaining dough and place over crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Top with glaze.
