ENGLISH FISH 
1 1/2 lbs. fish fillets
Salt
1 c. unsifted all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
1 egg, well beaten

Cut fish, sprinkle with salt. In a bowl mix flour, baking powder and salt. Add milk and egg. Beat until mixture is smooth. Dip fish into batter and drop carefully into hot fat.
