HOT DOG RELISH AND HAMBURGER
RELISH
 
4 c. ground onions
1 med. cabbage (4 c.)
10 green tomatoes (4 c.)
12 green peppers
6 red peppers
1/2 c. salt
6 c. sugar
1 tbsp. celery seeds
2 tbsp. mustard seeds
1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
4 c. vinegar
2 c. water

Grind vegetables with coarse blade. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup salt; stand overnight. Rinse and drain. Combine the rest; pour over vegetable mixture. Simmer for 3 minutes. Makes about 8 pints.
