ANGEL BISCUITS 
1 pkg. yeast
1/4 c. warm water
2 c. buttermilk
1 c. butter
5 c. flour
3 tbsp. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Dissolve yeast in warm water, let stand for 10 minutes. Cut butter into flour mixture until fine. Add yeast and buttermilk. Put out on floured board and knead a few times. Press out to about 3/4 of an inch and cut with biscuit cutter.

Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes. For cinnamon biscuits I increase sugar to 1/2 cup. Add about 4 teaspoons cinnamon and either raisins or chocolate chips and nuts.
