QUAKER NATURAL CHOCOLATE
CHIPPERS
 
1 1/4 c. (2 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
2 c. Quaker 100% natural cereal
2 c. Quaker oats, quick or old fashioned, uncooked
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Add combined flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in cereal, oats and chocolate pieces.

Drop by scant 1/4 cupfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 2 minutes; remove to wire rack. Cool completely before storing in tightly covered container.
