LIME PICKLES 
2 gal. cucumbers
2 gal. water
2 c. lime
2 qt. vinegar
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. whole cloves
4 1/2 lb. sugar
1 tbsp. celery seed
1 tbsp. pickling spices

Slice and soak 2 gallon cucumbers in 2 gallons water with 2 cups lime for 24 hours. Rinse 2 or 3 times in cold water. Let stand in cold water for 3 hours. Rinse and drain well. Combine remaining ingredients for syrup. Boil. Cover cucumbers with boiling syrup and let stand overnight. Boil syrup and pickles for 35 minutes. Can in sterilized jars.
