CRYSTAL'S PUMPKIN BREAD 
2/3 c. butter
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can pumpkin
3 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. orange juice
2 tbsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
2/3 c. dates, chopped fine
2/3 c. nuts, chopped

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, pumpkin and juice. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and spices. Add dry ingredients to pumpkin mixture. Stir in raisins.

Grease 2 large bread pans. Pour mixture equally divided into 2 pans. Bake in a 350 degree F. oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Test before taking out of oven.

A variation of this bread recipe is to substitute 2/3 cup of raisins for 2/3 cup chopped dates and 2/3 cup chopped nuts.
