OLD FASHIONED LEMONADE 
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
Rind of 2 lemons, grated or cut in pieces
1 c. lemon juice

Combine sugar, water and lemon rind in saucepan. Stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Boil about 7 minutes. Cool. Add lemon juice (squeezed from lemons before grating) and 4 cups water. If sweeter lemonade is preferred use less lemon juice in proportion to sugar syrup. Makes about 2 quarts.
