1 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/3 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. oatmeal
1 c. raisins

Cream together shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix in dry ingredients and then add the raisins. Drop onto cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until done.
