ORANGE QUICK BREAD 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. grated orange rind
1/2 c. softened butter
1 c. plus 1 tbsp. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
5 tsp. orange juice

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Lightly grease and flour an 8 x 5 inch loaf pan. In a small bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt, and orange rind. Set aside. In a medium bowl, cream butter and one cup sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time beating after each. Add flour mixture alternately with milk, stirring until blended. Stir in 3 teaspoon orange juice.

Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour or until done. Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes. Remove from pan.

In a cup combine remaining 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons orange juice. Brush over top of loaf. Cool on wire rack.
