BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE 
3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. (2 sticks) butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon extract
1 c. buttermilk

Sift together flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Sift again. Cream butter with sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in flavoring. Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk beating until smooth after each addition. Bake at 350 degrees, about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
