BAKED CARROTS 
1/2 c. butter
1 sm. onion, chopped
12 to 14 med. carrots, thinly sliced
Salt
Pepper

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Melt butter in a small saucepan. Saute onions in butter 3 minutes. Spread carrots in casserole dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and cover with onion-butter mixture. Cover casserole tightly and bake for 1 1/2 hours.
