DUMPLINGS 
2 c. sifted flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. soft butter
2/3 c. milk

Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in butter and add milk to make soft dough. Turn onto floured board and roll 1/2 inch thick. Cut into small squares, drop into hot liquid; cover and cook slowly 20 minutes. May add more liquid, then drop from spoon into liquid.
