RASCAL SALAD 
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. plus 1 tbsp. vinegar
1/3 c. vegetable oil
3 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. salt
1 sm. head cabbage, shredded
2 cucumbers, sliced
1 carrot, sliced
1 green pepper, diced
1 onion, chopped

In bowl combine sugar, vinegar, oil, water and salt. Mix well. Pour over vegetables, toss well and marinate in refrigerator 48 hours. Serves 6 to 8.
