DEER ROAST | |
1 (4-5 lb.) deer roast 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 6 cloves garlic 2-3 c. water 2 tbsp. bacon grease Cut slashes in roast and insert garlic all around it. Mix flour, salt and pepper together and coat meat thoroughly. Heat bacon grease in large Dutch oven and brown meat. Remove meat from pan. Add flour and brown. Add 2-3 cups of water. Bring to a boil. Add meat and simmer 2 to 3 hours or until tender. Serve with rice. |
