ALMOND FRENCH TOAST WITH
STRAWBERRY BUTTER
 
2 eggs, slightly beaten
Pinch of salt
2 tbsp. sugar
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. almond extract
12 slices bread
Powdered sugar

Combine eggs, salt, sugar, milk and almond extract in shallow dish. Dip bread into egg mixture; coat each piece well on each side. Place on well greased cookie sheet and bake in 450 degree oven for 7 minutes; turn toast and bake until brown. Sprinkle sugar over each piece.

STRAWBERRY BUTTER:

1/2 c. soft butter
1/3 c. powdered sugar
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries, thawed & drained

Whip butter until creamy; add berries to butter gradually, beating well. Beat in sugar. Chill before serving. Yield: 6 servings.
