GINGERBREAD SHAPE COOKIES 
4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. soft butter
1 c. molasses

Makes: 6 dozen varied shapes. Mix flour with baking soda, salt and spices. Set aside. In large bowl mix brown sugar, butter and molasses. With wooden spoon, stir in flour mixture, then mix with hands until well combined. Form dough into ball. Wrap in waxed paper overnight. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Divide dough into 4 parts.

On lightly floured board roll out dough one part at a time, 1/8 inch thick. Cut out shapes with cookie cutters. Bake on cookie sheets, 6-8 minutes. Remove and let cool. Decorate with frosting.
