STRAWBERRY SALAD | |
2 pkgs. strawberry jello 1 c. boiling water 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen sliced strawberries, thawed 1 (1 lb. 4 oz.) can crushed pineapple 3 med. bananas, mashed 1 c. coarsely chopped nuts 1 baking dish (12x8x2) 2 c. sour cream (1 pt.) Lettuce leaves Combine gelatin with boiling water, stirring until jello is dissolved. Then fold in all at once the strawberries with juice, drained pineapple, bananas and nuts. Turn half of strawberry mixture into the baking dish as first layer. Refrigerate until firm, then spread the sour cream evenly over top. Gently spoon on remaining strawberry mixture and then refrigerate. When firm, cut into 12 squares and serve on crisp lettuce leaves. |
