DORIS' CHICKEN ITALIANO 
1 (2 1/2-3 lb. fryer, cut in pieces
2 tbsp. cooking oil
Salt & pepper
1/2 c. olive oil
1/4 c. water
1/8 c. lemon juice
2 tbsp. wine vinegar
1/2 tsp. oregano
1 tbsp. chopped parsley
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/3 c. Romano cheese

Put cooking oil in roasting pan and sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper. Place chicken in roasting pan in 350 degree oven and brown on both sides. Combine all remaining ingredients and when chicken is brown, pour sauce over all. Continue basting every 10 minutes until chicken is done. Serves 4.
