GERMAN PANCAKES | |
1 1/2 c. milk 6 eggs 1 1/2 c. flour Mix ingredients with electric mixer or blender until smooth. Heat 8-inch non-stick skillet to medium-high heat. Pour in a shy 1/4 cup of batter (just enough to cover bottom of skillet). Cook approximately 30 seconds, then turn and cook another 30 seconds. Either cook the whole batch and keep them warm in a 250 degree oven until ready to serve, or cook them one by one to serve to your family waiting at the table (Mom and Dad cook in shifts). Eat them any way you like. Our favorite is lightly buttered with sugar sprinkled on it and then rolled up and eaten with our fingers. Other ideas: lightly buttered with honey, peanut butter and jelly, peanut butter and sugar, butter and syrup. Have fun! We do this every Sunday at our house. NOTE: May increase or decrease batch with 1/4 cup milk, 1/4 cup flour, 1 egg. |
