CHOCOLATE ROLL | |
5 eggs 1 c. powdered sugar 2 tbsp. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. vanilla Pinch of salt Mix beaten egg yolks and sugar well. Add flour, baking powder, salt, and vanilla. Stir very well. Beat egg whites stiff. Fold into the egg yolk mixture. Bake 15-20 minutes at 325 degrees in jelly roll pan which has been lined with Pam-sprayed waxed paper. Let set 5 minutes in pan and then turn out on a damp cloth and roll. Unroll when cool and spread 1/2 pint whipped cream with vanilla and sugar added. Roll up again and frost. FROSTING: 1 c. powdered sugar 3 tbsp. cocoa 3 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. hot water Beat together and frost the roll. Serves 8. Calories 302, fat 18.8 gm, calories from fat 55%, sodium 208 mg. Laboratory |
