SKILLET CORN 
3 c. fresh corn, cut from cob
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. water
1 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. milk

Combine corn, salt, pepper, sugar, butter and water in a 10-inch skillet. Cover and simmer 15 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Combine flour and milk, blending until smooth; stir into corn. Cook an additional 5 minutes over low heat, stirring constantly. Yield: 4 to 6 servings.
