APPLE DUMPLINGS 
1 pkg. ready to bake crescent rolls
1 pkg. sugar substitute, suitable for baking
3 tsp. cinnamon, divided
2 sm. tart apples, peeled & sliced
1/2 c. water
2 tsp. butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Separate crescent rolls. Flatten and stretch each piece. Mix sugar substitute and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Roll apple slices in this mixture; divide evenly among rolls. Fold dough over apples and pinch to close openings. Place in baking dish.

Mix water, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and any leftover sugar-cinnamon mixture. Pour over dumplings. Dot with butter. Bake, uncovered, 25-30 minutes until brown.
