QUICK 'N EASY LASAGNE | |
1 pkg. shredded Mozzarella cheese 1 lb. ground beef (hamburger meat) 1 lg. jar spaghetti sauce (e.g. Ragu) 1 box lasagne noodles 1/4 tsp. garlic (optional) 1/4 onion, diced (optional) Pinch of oregano and basil (optional) Place meat in large frying pan on medium to medium-high heat. Let meat brown while you separate it into smaller and smaller pieces. (I use a regular old turner for this.) Meat will make a fatty juice, drain this off once or twice. When beef is browned, about 15 minutes, lower heat to simmer. Add optional ingredients to meat mixture, if you wish. Add spaghetti sauce to meat and stir until meat is coated with sauce. In the meantime, you should be boiling a large pot for the lasagne noodles. (Follow package directions; do not over cook.) HINT: Add a drop or two of oil to the water. This will make sure the noodles don't stick together later. Grease a rectangular casserole dish with butter, Crisco, or something similar. Put about 2 tablespoons of the meat and sauce mix on the bottom of the dish. Cover with a layer of lasagne noodles. Cover with a layer of cheese. Continue in this fashion (meat and sauce, then lasagne, then cheese) until you use all the ingredients up. You should end up with the noodles topped with cheese on top. Heat in preheated 375 degree oven for 40 minutes. Serve with a salad and bread. |
