CHOCOLATE NUT PIE 
3/4 c. maple syrup
3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter, softened
3 eggs, beaten
2 tbsp. bourbon
1/3 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
3/4 c. chopped pecans
1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell
Whipped cream

Mix syrup, sugar, butter, eggs, and bourbon in bowl until smooth. Stir in chocolate pieces and pecans. Pour mixture into pastry shell.

Bake at 350°F for 40-45 minutes.

Tip: Do not over bake. When the pie is done, only the center will be unset and jiggly when shaken lightly. The pie will continue to set up as it cools. Over-baking may cause the smooth texture to curdle and separate.

Serve warm with whipped cream, if desired.
