DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 3/4 c. unbleached flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. dark brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lg. egg
1/3 c. unsweetened powdered cocoa
2 tbsp. milk
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. (about 6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In small bowl combine flour and soda. In a large bowl, cream together until fluffy; butter sugars and vanilla. Whisk in egg. Stir in cocoa and milk. Fold in flour mixture, walnuts, and chocolate chips.

Drop batter by rounded teaspoons onto nonstick baking sheets. Bake about 12 minutes, then cool for 5 minutes on baking sheets before removing.
