LANTTA LAATIKKO 
2 med. rutabagas, peeled & diced (may use turnips)
1/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs
1/4 c. cream
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs, beaten
3 tbsp. butter

Cook the rutabaga until soft in salted water to cover. Drain and mash. Meanwhile soak the bread crumbs in the cream and stir in the nutmeg, salt and beat in eggs. Combine this mixture with the mashed rutabagas. Turn into a buttered casserole dish and dot the top with butter. Bake in a moderate oven, 350 degrees, for 1 hour or until light browned. Makes about 8 servings.
