ALMOND FLOAT 
1 env. unflavored gelatin
6 tbsp. sugar
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 1/4 c. water
1 tsp. almond extract

Combine gelatin, sugar, milk and water in saucepan. Heat until sugar is dissolved, stirring constantly. Let cool 5 minutes and add almond extract. Pour into 9-inch pan and refrigerate until set. Cut and float in sauce.

SAUCE:

2 c. water
4 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. almond extract
1 can mandarin oranges

Dissolve sugar in warm water. Stir in rest of ingredients, juice and all. Chill.
