MICROWAVE TOFFEE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. water
1 stick butter
4 oz. nuts
4 oz. Hershey bars

Place butter in 2-quart glass bowl with high sides. Pour sugar directly on butter. Add salt and water. Cook on full power 7 minutes. Keep cooking at 50 second intervals until it turns the color of light brown sugar.

Stir after it is all cooked. Pour over nuts that have been spread on buttered cookie sheet. Let cool. Melt Hershey bar (1 minute on medium in microwave). Spread on cool toffee. When all is cool, break into pieces.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
