1 onion, sliced thin
2 qts. cucumbers, sliced thin
1 c. white vinegar
3 c. sugar

Let cucumbers and onions stand in 2 tablespoons salt for 2 hours. Pack containers. Heat sugar and vinegar, just enough to melt sugar. Pour over pickles and freeze.
