ROUND STEAK IN RICH GRAVY 
3 lb. round steak
1/3 c. flour
3 tbsp. shortening
1 env. dry onion soup
1/2 c. water
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Sprinkle 1 side of meat with 1/2 of flour and pound in. Turn and pound in remaining flour. Cut into serving size pieces. Melt shortening in large skillet, brown meat about 15 minutes.

Sprinkle onion soup over meat. Mix water and soup, pour over meat. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 - 2 hours until tender. Use sauce as gravy.
