2 squares chocolate (Nestles chocolate bake packets)
1/3 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. boiling water

Melt chocolate and shortening together and keep aside. Mix together rest of ingredients and stir until smooth. Add chocolate and shortening mixture. Stir. Bake in a greased and floured 8 inch pan at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Sift confectioners sugar over top when cool instead of frosting.
