ESTER'S CHOCOLATE MINT BROWNIES 
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits
1/4 lb. butter
2 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
9 lg. chocolate covered mint patties
1 tbsp. corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Place in top of double boiler chocolate bits, butter and melt. Remove from heat and add beaten eggs with sugar and add remaining ingredients except mints.

Bake in greased 8 x 8 pan at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and arrange mints on top of brownies. Return to oven and bake 3 to 5 minutes. Take out and swirl softened mints over entire top. Cut in squares. Delicious, rich and sinful!
