PEANUT BUTTER OATMEAL COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter flavored Crisco
1 c. peanut butter
1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. water
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. Quaker Oats (quick or old fashioned uncooked
1 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Granulated sugar

Beat butter flavored Crisco, peanut butter and brown sugar until creamy. Add water, egg and vanilla, beat until creamy. Add combined dry ingredients; mix well. Cover; chill about 2 hours. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Shape into 1 inch balls.

Place on ungreased cookie sheet; flatten with tines or fork, dipped in granulated sugar to form criss cross pattern. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet, remove to wire rack cool completely store tightly, covered.
