STEAK AND TOMATOES | |
1-1 1/2 lb. chuck or sirloin steak 1 can stewed tomatoes 1 tbsp. butter 2 c. boiling water 1 whole sliced onion Mushrooms (fresh or canned) Cut steak into several pieces. Take off excess fat. Melt butter in roaster. Brown the steak a little on top of stove. Add all other ingredients except mushrooms. Bring to boil. Put into oven uncovered for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Add mushrooms and cook for 30 more minutes. |
