SAUERBRATEN (POT ROAST) 
4-5 lb. rump or bottom roast
1 onion
2 c. water
3 tbsp. ketchup
2 cloves
1-2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 bay leaves
10-14 ginger snap cookies
1 beef bouillon cube
1/4 c. vinegar
Salt and pepper

STOVE TOP: Brown meat and onions. Add all ingredients, cook 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

CROCK POT: Add all ingredients. Cook on high about 4-5 hours.
