EASY YEAST ROLLS 
4 c. sifted plain flour
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
1 c. warm water
1/4 c. warm water
1 pkg. yeast
1 tsp. sugar

In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar and salt. Cut shortening into this. Beat egg and add 1 cup warm water. Mix 1/4 cup warm water with 1 package yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar. Make a hole in the center of flour mixture and pour all liquids in hole. Stir (may now put in greased container and place in refrigerator). Two hours before baking, roll and cut like biscuits. Dip in melted butter and place in pan. Allow rolls to rise at least 2 hours in warm place.

Bake at 400°F until brown.
