DUTCH SLAW 
1 lb. cabbage
1/4 c. water
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. vinegar or less
1 tsp. flour

Cut cabbage with slaw cutter. Add salt and bruise with hand or spoon. Add water and cook ten minutes. Mix flour and vinegar until smooth. Add to cooked slaw and let come to a boil. Serve hot.
