SNICKER DOODLES 
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. nutmeg (optional)

Mix above ingredients. Chill overnight before forming into balls. Mix:

1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. white sugar

Roll ball of dough in mixture. Bake on greased cookie sheet. Press ball with bottom of glass before baking. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
